Schools

Our parish, and school work hand in hand in the important mission of passing on the faith to our young people. This collaborative effort is essential for nurturing the spiritual development of the children, fostering a strong sense of community.

St Mary's Primary School, Largs

St Mary's Primary is the Roman Catholic primary school serving Largs and the North Coast, and it sees itself as an extension of St Mary, Star of the Sea parish. Since March 2018 it has been part of the shared Largs Campus on Alexander Avenue, alongside Largs Primary, Largs Academy and the Early Years centre, while keeping its own Catholic identity and ethos.

The school and parish share a close bond. Fr Peter offers pastoral and spiritual support to pupils, staff and families, the children regularly join the parish community for Mass, and the parish supports families as children prepare for athe sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
