PASTORAL LETTER TO ALL CATHOLICS FROM THE BISHOPS OF SCOTLAND: Our Bishops have written us this letter to coincide with the publication of a number of documents they have made available on their website from both their Infection Control Group and their Pastoral Ministry Group.
You can find the Pastoral Letter here: https://www.rclargsandmillport.com/2020/06/06/pastoral-letter-from-the-bishops-of-scotland-06-06-20/
You can find the documents mentioned here: https://www.bcos.org.uk/COVID19/tabid/127/Default.aspx
Please note that the documents will be continually updated, so it is suggested that rather than print them out you read them online. For parishioners who are not computer or internet literate, print-outs will be necessary but please advise them that the documents will be under constant review. – Fr. Peter
MEMBERSHIP OF PARISH COMMITTEES LEADING THE WAY TOWARDS THE RESUMPTION OF PHYSICAL ATTENDANCE AT CHURCH:
ST. MARY’S, LARGS: Roger Townely (Parish Coordinator), Thomas Allison, Colin McGinty, Michael Sutherland and Bridget Maguire.
OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR’S, MILLPORT: Luigi Giorgetti (Parish Coordinator), Donnie McGilveray, John McHenery and Elizabeth Murphy.
Others have also been asked to help as the various tasks associated with re-opening unfold. As part of its work, the Committees will be sending out communications to all parishioners to explain “what happens now” and when it happens. I invite everyone to be patient and to follow the instructions given. If you have any questions, a means will be provided for you to make them known to the Committees. In the meantime, let’s all pray for one another and for those who have generously offered their time to help us practically to get back to church! St. Mary, Star of the Sea; Our Lady of Perpetual Succour: pray for us! – Fr. Peter
