FAO Religious Organisations in North Ayrshire
I appreciate that at this time you will be working hard to support your members and the wider community. I am getting in touch to make sure that you are aware of some of the support North Ayrshire Council can provide and give you my details if there is additional help that you need.
There are Community Support Hubs across North Ayrshire. Their role is to respond to local immediate need arising from COVID-19 including food provision, collecting prescriptions when family/friends cannot do so and supporting people’s wellbeing. Their contact details are noted below.

There are groups of people who are subject to “shielding advice” and they will have received communication about this from the Scottish Government as well as a North Ayrshire leaflet. This outlines some of the specific provision available. People may have particular challenges arising from needing to stay at home and isolated from others for a significant period. They can contact North Ayrshire Council on 01294 310000.
A fantastic number of local people have come forward to volunteer. We are finding appropriate roles for them as we can. If you have opportunities that a volunteer could assist with please get in touch and we will try and match someone up.
We have received a donation of books from a local business, and these are a very welcome resource to help with people’s wellbeing. Arrangements for delivery to someone’s home can be made via contacting the local hub. While we do not want you to create any additional public interactions, if you are currently making deliveries to your members/wider community and would like some books to add to these please get in touch.
